He is survived by: his brother Lynn "Bud" W. Thayer, Jr.; his sister-in-law Lotus Thayer; his daughter Helen L. Thayer Hibbard; his son-in-law David E. Hibbard; and his grandsons, Colton Hamilton Hibbard and Hunter Edward Thayer Hibbard.
