He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Smith and Faustina Smith. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Ralph Cooper, Fred Sanger, Joe Smith, Bill Smith, Steve Smith, Frank Panzullo, Christopher Smith, Angela Cooper, Tina Smith and Karen Smith.
He was an AA counselor and was a participant in the "Bridge to the Beach", bicycling for the American Cancer Society.
