She was predeceased by: her husband James S. Rodgers; her parents, Charles and Marie; and her sister Dorothy Foster. She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Domenico DeVito and Mia DeVito; her children, James S. Rodgers (Marilyn), Anne DeMaio (Bob), Carolyn Gallo (Tom), Thomas M. Rodgers (Chris), John P. Rodgers (Melissa), Michael C. Rodgers (Erin) and Cindy Hickey (Tim); and her sister Joan McGuckin. She is also survived by grandchildren, 16 and counting great grandchildren and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers donations in Marie's memory to the March of Dimes, Team Dominate.

“I am sorry to hear of Marie’s passing. Marie starting coming to our (hair) salon about five years ago after her other stylist retired. While I was not her regular stylist, and only did her hair once in a while, Marie was one of my General Hospital buddies. There aren’t that many people around that you can still talk to about General Hospital, but Marie and I can do that. She was always a pleasure to having the Salon and she will be missed. Myself and my staff offer. Our deepest condolences”
