He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Boyle and Mary Ellen Boyle; and his siblings, James Boyle, Edward Boyle, Daniel Boyle and Mary Boyle.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ann "Dotsie" Boyle; his children, Joseph P. Boyle (Kerry), MaryAgnes Boyle (late Thomas Wolfarth), Michael E. Boyle (April), Anthony M. Boyle, Patrick F. Boyle (Kelly) and Brigid V. Roulston (Gary); and his grandchildren, Colleen, Joseph P. III, Mary Clare, Erin, Tyler, Ivan, Victoria, Vienna and Ryan.
