He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. Montgomery and Emma Montgomery; and his wife Catherine Montgomery. He is survived by: his children, Robert Montgomery (Nancy), Susanna Reilly, James Montgomery (Kari-Jeanne) and Catherine McCaffrey (Paul); his grandchildren, Jennifer Reilly, Kevin Montgomery, Colleen Marra (Chris), Matthew Montgomery, Megan Brody (Dylan), Jarod McCaffrey and James Montgomery (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Raiann Hawes, Xavier Hawes, Anthony Marra, Margaret Marra (Maggie) and Rose Marie Brody (Rosie).

Services and interment are private due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Howard was a good friend and hunting companion. I first met him at Joffe's Gun Shop back in Philadelphia, about 1956. We hunted and enjoyed target shooting together for many years. I was decimated to hear from Jennifer Reilly, back in May, of his passing. I just found this obit today, and still think of him often as well as the fun times we shared. He was a good man and will be greatly missed. They don't make them like my old Pal Howard any more! R.I.P. Blair Klepper, Pottstown, PA.”
