He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin Lewis and Jean Leingang Lewis Miller. He is survived by: his brothers, Randall Franklin and Greggory Charles Lewis; his wife Nancy Redd Lewis; his sons, Scott William and Todd Robert Lewis; his daughter-in-law Kelsey Fox; and his pets, Poppy and Bud.

Contributions in Gary's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would have pleased him.
