He was predeceased by: his father Victor Barnes; and his siblings, Victor, Anna, Sam and Bobby.
He is survived by: his mother Anna Hobin; his children, Brenden Barnes (Linda) and Chloe Barnes; the parent of his children Rae Marie Powers; his grandchildren, Brenden and Vanessa; and his siblings, Theresa Davis, Rick Barnes (Toni) and Jeffrey "Jess" Barnes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
