He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert J. Vavra and Theresa Moran Williams; and his siblings, Albert, James, Patty, Mary Jane and Joanne.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia M. Lesko Vavra; his daughters, Paulette Sutter of White Oak and Trisha OBrien (Thomas) of West Mifflin; his siblings, Raymond Vavra of Clairton and Barbara Jean Habjanitz of Glassport; and his grandchildren, Cameron, Erin, Sydney and Shauna. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
