He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Holmes and Ethel Bell (McCombs); his wife Elsie Holmes (Lynn); and his son Duane Holmes. He is survived by: his children, Dianna Bomba (Jeffrey E.) of West Mifflin and Charles Holmes (Kim) of West Mifflin; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Bomba (Damian Boros), Megan Powers (Zach), Brittany Holmes, Breanne Holmes, Chelsea Holmes, Corey Holmes (Dawnice) and Kristina Stegena (Joshua). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
