He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Mercaldo and Lillian Mercaldo (Calabrese); and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Chris; his children, Mindy Chychlyk (Steve) of Wilmette, IL and Kim Calhoun (David) of Lumberton, NJ.; his grandchildren, Ryan, Carly, Julia and Grampy; and his brother Stephen (Denise) of Mifflinburg, PA..
