She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Wayne McElroy, Jr.; and her parents, Lyman Jerome Lofgren and Margaret Marion Nash. She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle Salinas (Cruz), Melissa McGrath (Tom) and Sarah "Sookie" McElroy (Roland Mitchell); her granddaughters, Sophie Wendt (Steven), Abby Collins, Hannah Kissig (Brian), Maggie McGrath and Grace McGrath; and her sisters, Linda Hart, Karin DeSantis and Barb Gummert.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Run Community Center (777 Ferry Rd, Doylestown, PA 18901).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sandy's name can be made to the American Red Cross.
