She was predeceased by: her sister Claire. She is survived by: her husband Charlie; her children, Elizabeth, Charles (Kathryn) and Laura Nelms (Jonathan); her grandchildren, Chloe, Leyla Nelms and Alden Dunleavy; and her brothers, Paul, Peter, John, Denis and David.
In lieu of flowers, charitable gifts in Rita's name may be sent to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
