He was predeceased by: his wife Faith Cassin Penta; and his parents, Dr. Michael J Penta and Gertrude Burrous Penta. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Logan Penta and Michael J Penta, III (Melisa Kauffman Penta); his grandson Leo Townes Heywood; and his stepchildren, Gregory E. Davis, Cynthia D. Magee (Richard D. Magee, Jr.) and Carolyn L. Penta.
