She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Wright and Charles H. S. Hewitt; her spouse Glenn F. George; her brothers, Charles and George Hewitt; and her daughter-in-law Mary Lou George.
She is survived by: her son Philip George; her grandchildren, Kelly and Colleen George; her children, Barry George (Heidi George) and Marjorie George (Mark Straubel); her granddaughter Madeleine Straubel (Daniel Hood); and her daughter Miranda Straubel.
