He was predeceased by: his siblings, Thomas Flood (Jude) and Patsy Schneider (Duke); and his parent Pop. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; and his grandchildren, Patrick Flood (Patricia), Alicia Morris (Jake), Michael Flood (Elaine), Matthew Flood, Katie Elliot (Nathan), Devin (Dimitri), Anna Rose, Deirdre, John, Siobhan Flood, Elizabeth, Hannah, Jack Morris, Mary Rose, Tommy, Kerry Flood, Caroline, Victoria Flood, Mary Clare and Teresa Elliot. He is also survived by five children.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Doylestown Hospital Hospice (4259 W. Swamp Rd., Suite 204, Doylestown, PA 18902), who helped care for John in his last months, or to the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers (PO Box 302, Maryknoll, NY 10545).
