He was predeceased by: his parents, Col. Robert Bruce Tomlinson and Geraldine Howe Tomlinson. He is survived by: his children, Robert Tyler Tomlinson (Sarah), Ashley Shell Tomlinson and Evelyne Bottin; his grandchildren, JP Tomlinson, Faith Catherine Tomlinson, David Tyler Tomlinson, Luke Matthew Tomlinson and Laura Ashley Tomlinson; and his brothers, Gene Tomlinson and Alan Tomlinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name may be made to Doylestown Presbyterian Church at the address above.
