He is survived by: his wife Karen Jolley-Gates of Doylestown, PA; his sons, Andrew Gates of Hoboken, NJ and Matthew Gates of New York City; his father Walter Gates of Charlotte, VT; and his siblings, Martha Gates (Spencer Commons) of Palo Alto, CA, Thomas Gates (Marilyn) of Jericho, VT, Joel Gates (Melisa) of Mason, NH and Donovan Gates of Charlotte, VT.. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
