She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashton Byers and Dorothy Lewis; and her husband John J. Gill. She is survived by: her children, Roger Bassett (Mary) and Susan Palmiter (James); her grandchildren, Eric Raymond Bassett (Maura), Dean Byers Palmiter (Kayla) and Margot Hipson Palmiter (Angus Johnston); her great grandchild Wesley James Johnston; and her sister Deborah Piotrowski. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
