He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Heckert Schell; and his parents, John Alton and Mary Lechleitner Schell. He is survived by: his children, Marianne Woodward (Paul), Suzanne Tyler (Frank), Judith Gregory (Thomas), William J. Schell (Angela) and Dianne Schell (Kathleen Seitzinger); his grandchildren, Paul, Amy Woodward, Jill Tyler, Brendan, Katherine, Andrew, Benjamin Gregory and Matthew Schell; and his great grandchildren, Brianna Woodward Fowler and Adam Owen. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
