He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Kay Flynn Boggs; his parents, Dwight C. Allen and Helen D. Allen; his son Michael A. Boggs; and his brother Arthur J Tinson Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Anthony W. Boggs, Mark A. Boggs and Crystal M. Boggs-Jennings; his stepchildren, Tammie Covatta (Rick), Terri Marsh (Al Yusko) and Trudi Naaman (Toni); and his sister Karen Boggs-Pinkney. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and by two brothers and a sister.
