He was predeceased by: his parents, George Husted and Gertrude Husted (Glenn); and his sister Barbara McBride. He is survived by: his close friend Joyceann Husted; his sons, Jeffrey T. Husted of Pittsburgh, PA and Jason W. Husted (Cynthia) of San Jose, CA; his granddaughter Jocelyn Husted; and his brothers, Glenn Husted (Anna), Ronald Husted (Barbara) and Joseph Husted (Patricia).
