He was predeceased by: his parents, John Protivnak and Julia Melochick Protivnak. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Burkey Protivnak; his children, Karen Samuelson (Michael Donlon) and Larry J. Protivnak (Marlene); his brother Paul Protivnak; his grandsons, Alex Protivnak, Nicholas Samuelson (Tracy Zelnick), Tyler Protivnak (Jennifer) and Jack Protivnak; his niece Susan Verdecchia; and his nephew David Protivnak.
