He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Pontzer, and Helen Victoria Smith Pontzer, Sr.; his brother Raymond Pontzer, Jr.; and his grandson Thomas James Shutt. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Seelye; his children, Gloria Guericke, Wanda (Shutt) and Bryant; his grandchildren, Emily Victoria (Shutt) and Paulson; his son John Daniel Shutt; and his sister Sara Matava of Colorado Springs, CO..
