He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard and Jeanette Damata Fernandes; his sister Theresa Hershey; and his former wife Carol Ann Fernandes. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Fernandes; his children, John L. Fernandes (Christine), Linda Fernandes (Earl Schandelmeier) and Andrew Fernandes (Alicia); his stepchildren, Tina Taggart (Herb), Tim Leon Guerrero (Amy) and Edward "Ted" Leon Guerrero (Ginny Lockwood); and his siblings, Richard Fernandes Jr. (Irene) and Marie Hines. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
