With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James J. Mooney Sr. of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, born in Warrior Run, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 6, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mooney and Kathleen Mooney; his brother John Charles Mooney; his son-in-law David Blanke; and his goddaughter Kristie Pastryk.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Mooney; his children, Anne Blanke-Lownsbery (Kevin), Sharon Bersheim (Mark), James Mooney (Shawn Rush), Colleen Mooney and Elizabeth Kennedy (Christopher); his grandchildren, Ethan, Eric, Reese, Gwendolyn Blanke, Sophie, Abigail Bersheim, Rose Mooney, Cora, Finn and Nolan Kennedy; and his sisters, Kathleen Pastryk (Allen) and Peggy Weir (Don). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James's name to the American Diabetes Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
