He was predeceased by: his spouse Claire Jean Rossiter; and his parents, Samuel Wilson and Anna Catherine Rossiter. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn J. Kappel (Walter H. Kappel, Jr.), Barry Rossiter and Terence Rossiter (Hong); his stepson Paul Schade (Laurie); and his half-siblings, Charles Rossiter, Tim Rossiter, Geraldine Ebinger and Dorothy Roberts. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
