He is survived by: his parents, Wayne L. Hildebrand and Nancy H. Hildebrand (Hanes); his siblings, Wayne "Skip" Hildebrand, III (Jill Harrison), Rebecca Van Sliedrecht (Jonathan) and Patricia Bender (Brian); and his nieces and nephews, Jonathan Taylor, Peyton Schneider, Alec Bender, Abigail, Noelle and Naomi Van Sliedrecht.

Memorial contributions in Wil's name can be made to First St. John Lutheran Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
