He was predeceased by: his former wives, Clara Bea Ramsey Garvin and Eileen Conmy Rixson Martin; his parents, Earl Hunter and Bertha Hunter (Cook); his son Jon Michael Hunter; and his siblings, Hampton Hunter, Ted Hunter, Earl Hunter, Jr., Nathaniel Hunter, Elgin Hunter and Eloise Guiler.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet E. Hunter (Zech); his daughter April Michele Hunter Graham; his grandchildren, Amanda, Alicia and Graham; his great grandchildren, Lexi and Hampton; and his brother Olin D. Hunter.
