He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Hess and Margaret G. Hess (Lehigh); his siblings, Bob, Earl, Ruth, Blanche, Lura, Evelyn, Dot and Mim; and also Tamara Hess (Boyer).
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Waltemyer (Mark) and Dawn Zumbrum (Dunn); his grandchildren, Lisa Michael (Robert) and Tansy Peters (Seth); and his brother Larry Hess. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
