She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Shaffer and Lena Shaffer (Krout); her daughter Rita M. Harlacker; and her siblings, George Shaffer, Gerard Shaffer, John Shaffer, James Shaffer, Nathan Shaffer, Cornelius Shaffer, Wayne Shaffer, Francis Weaver, Eleanor March, Charlotte Hamberger and Arletta Gross.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah J. Gross (Gary); and her grandchildren, Thaddeus A. Gross (Tina Siar) and Shannon J. Swartz (Michael). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
