He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Downie and Jean Downie (Raeside); his wife Gillian M. Downie (Sharp); his children, Alastair Downie (Maryjean) and Celia Bowman (Gregory) of Douglassville, PA; and his grandchildren, Ian Bowman (Evelyn), Jessica Palkert (Nate), Kiefer Downie and Gina Peterson (Austin).
