It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenn Michael Shirey of Douglassville, Pennsylvania, born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Elizabeth Shirey (Seybold); his parents, Malcolm Shirey and Anna Shirey Sr. (Sninski); and his siblings, Malcolm Shirey Jr., Barbara Bolonski and Merrill Shirey.
He is survived by: his children, G. Michael Shirey (Brenda), Michele Lentz (Joseph) and Suzanne Detar (Thomas Werner); his grandchildren, Vaughn, Galen (Marlee), Talia, Benjamin (Brittany), Jackson (Justine), Carly (Tucker), Alison (Sean) and Hayley (Jonathan); and his great grandchildren, Luke, Austin, Ava, Macallan, Harper, Penelope and Olive.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (955 N Charlotte St, Pottstown, PA 19464). A masonic service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:45 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
