He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Edward and Elizabeth Anne Smith (Donnelly); his former wife Mary; his brother Thomas; and his sons-in-law, Pat Callahan and Eric Cortez.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Burry; his children, Mary Fields (John), Marie Chandler (Ron), Bridget Cortez, Elizabeth Baumstark (David), Edward Smith (Paula) and Patrick Smith (Kerry Razza); and his cousin Tom Ramondetta. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren (and counting!), three nieces, a nephew.
