She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Sambol and Mary Sambol (Brokup); her brothers, Frank, Joseph, William, John, Steven and Paul; and her grandson Michael Martin Berestecky.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Charles Berestecky; her husband John J. Petrus; her children, Jerome Petrus of Donora, Bernard Petrus of Globe, Marlene Berestecky (Charles) of Maumee and Thomas Petrus (Helen) of Rostraver Township; and her sister Mary Kassa of Donora. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
