She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Mrzlak and Caroline Stukic Mrzlak; her husband Frank Szymczyk; and her sisters, Ann Kasinec and Barbara Applegate.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Simchak (John Munizza) of Laurel, MD; her granddaughter Caroline Palmer (Brad) of Morgantown; her niece Joyce Zewan (Jack) of Belle Vernon; her nephews, Robert Applegate of Monongahela and Roger Applegate of Industry; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Amy Beal (Jack) of Donora, Kim Guthrie (Jason) of Eighty Four, Bradley Applegate and Brian Applegate of Industry.
To be socially responsible during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will continue to limit the attendance to 75 people inside the funeral home at any given time. Guests are asked to obey social distancing guidelines and personal protection guidelines which include masks within the funeral home.
