He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Hemmings and Mary Hemmings (Herrington); his parents-in-law, Thomas and Julia Iaquinta; his siblings, John, David, Herbert, Don, Richard "Skip", Paul, Robbie Lynn Hemmings and Shirley May Seighman; and his grandson Jacob Thomas Hudak.
He is survived by: his wife Maryrose Hemmings (Iaquinta); his children, Cynthia Lowden (Dan) of Fallowfield Twp, John Hemmings (Bridget) of Donora, Diane Hemmings (Geno Conn) of Monessen and George Hemmings (Gina) of Navarre, FL; his grandchildren, Tara Lenhart (Tim Wentzell), Julie Hudak (Alan Wheatley), Erin Maxon (Don), Ashley Hemmings (Cory Lupori), Jesse Hemmings (Lauren Riley), Natasha Thompson (Brett) and Elizabeth Wilcox (Bryan); his siblings, Howard Leroy "Lee", Harold "Boots" Hemmings, Peggy Pohts, Alice Ingram, Ruth MacDougall, Carol Lee and Donna Pocky; and his great grandchildren, Conner, Elliot, Finlee, Garret, Hazen Grace, Alexis and Bella. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
