With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol A. Groomes of Donora, Pennsylvania, born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 4, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Krassa and Anne Marie Krassa (Hyjurick); her husband Robert Groomes; and her brother-in-law George L. Pierce. She is survived by: her siblings, Cynthia Pierce of Charleroi and Mark Krassa (Joyce); her stepchildren, W. James Groomes (Carol), Eric Johnson of Rochester, NY, Sheila Groomes and Theresa Bronson of Tarentum; her nieces, Tricia Payne and Dora Johnson; her nephew Stephen Sowers (Jessica); and her great-nephews, Tyler Ulens (Eduardo) and Adam Ulens (Caitlin).
