She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Shreckengost and Emma Shreckengost (Doverspike); her husband Richard E. Bates Sr.; and her siblings, Maurice, Wayne, Ted and Evelyn.
She is survived by: her son Richard "Dick" Bates (Cathy); her grandchildren, Tisha Neiswonger (Scott) and Lacy Hoffman (Alex Smith); and her great grandchildren, Dylan (Elissa), Kaeden, Maleah, Gabe, Gavin, Brielle, Braden, Micah, Rowan, Nolan, Saige and Sully.
