He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Willis and Vivienne Willis; his stepfather James Karstetter; and his brother Steven Karstetter. He is survived by: his son Richard J. Laird Jr.; and his siblings, Lisa Winters, Pamela Fischer, Karen Ross and Gary Karstetter.
