It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nicholas Degrote of Dimock, Pennsylvania, born in Hackensack, New Jersey, who passed away on August 17, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elwood DeGrote, Sr. and Gertrude [Johns] DeGrote; his son Dylan T. DeGrote; and his brothers, Charles "Chuck" Johns, Mark DeGrote, Henry "Arnold" DeGrote, Robert "Kine" DeGrote and James "Jitter" DeGrote, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Nick, Christian, Kyler DeGrote (Kylie) of Dimock, PA., Nicole Brooks (Wayne), Kristin Rozelle (Jeremy) of Dalton, PA, Melissa and Arianna "RiRi" DeGrote (Mike) of Dimock, PA.; his grandchildren, Kayla, Jimmy, Ryan, Jakob, Nile and Bentley; and his siblings, Adelaide "Sis" Willis (Sid), Rosemarie "Sue" Moody (Jim), Gilbert "Alan" DeGrote of Montrose, PA, Rodney "Rock" DeGrote (Betty) and David DeGrote (Peggy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
