He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. Hertzler and Jeanne L. Hertzler (Enck). He is survived by: his wife Christine "Chris" (Vater); his children, Jill Hertzler of Mechanicsburg, Terry Jr. Hertzler (TJ) and Hali of Boiling Springs; his siblings, Jeffrey Hertzler, Bruce and Connie Smith (Hertzler); his siblings-in-law, Arthur and Claudia Vater; and his siblings, Douglas, Diane Bender (Vater), Mark Vater and Annette Smith (Vater). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Terry's name to Mechanicsburg VFW Post 6704, Mechanicsburg Brethren In Christ Church, New Hope Ministries of Mechanicsburg, or Asana Hospice Care.
