He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewis Sr. Smedley and Helen Smedley (Vandegrift); his wife Ethel Smedley (Worthington); his sister Helen Halm (Smedley); his children, Lou Ann Roble (Craig), Carolyn Yeary (Bill) and James A. Smedley (Shawna); and his grandchildren, Christine Palmer, Mark Yeary, Kyle Yeary, Phillip Gates, James L. Smedley and Daniel Smedley. He was also cherished by 11 great-grandchildren.
