He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Thoman and Liddy Thoman; his sons, Perry Thoman and Darren Thoman; and his brother Philip Thoman.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Thoman; and his children, George Thoman (Becky), Ross Thoman (Wendy), Janet Scott (David), Beth Feaser (Harold), Ann Steele (Richard), Roy Thoman (Emily), Barry Thoman (Rita), Kurt Thoman (Kelly), Shawn Thoman (Adrianne) and Leann Metzler (Ryan). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
