He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ruf and Winifred Ruf (Whiting). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy G. Ruf (Richardson); his children, Winifred B. Smith of Dillsburg, George H. Ruf of Wyoming and Harry Ruf, III of Florida; his grandchildren, T. J. Harris, Tracy Crawson (Harris), Richard Harris, III, Jamie Ruf, Matt Ruf and Kristie Ruf; and his sister Doris (Ruf). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
