He is survived by: his spouse Dorothy Bell; his children, Helen Helwig (Paul Luken), Martha Mercurio (Jack Bertolette) and Daniel Helwig (Debra); and his grandchildren, John Helwig (Gail), Christina Helwig (Clyde McGeary) and Lauren Partch.
