Sinead R. McManus Obituary
Sinead R. McManus, 27, of Dickson City, sadly died Saturday, Sept. 22, of a drug overdose. Born in 1991 in Scranton, she was the daughter of Thomas McManus and his wife, Shawna, and Terri Heal McManus, all of Lake Ariel. She was educated in Dunmore schools and was of the Catholic faith. She was currently employed at Five Guys in Dickson City.
Sinead will be remembered for her outgoing personality, her kind manner and her mentoring and help for others struggling with addiction. She and her mother had the dream of opening a restaurant, in order to serve the community, and especially help those battling addiction, through giving them a place to eat, rest or share their struggles.
Also surviving are a sister, Erin McManus, of Lake Ariel; maternal grandmother, Ruth Heal; paternal grandmother, Janice McManus; aunts, uncles, cousins; countless friends. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Robert Heal; paternal grandfather, Thomas McManus; and aunts, Kim Wieble and Sherry Nygard. A celebration of Sinead's life will be Saturday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions be made to a sober house, rehabilitation center or to Just Believe Recovery Center in Carbondale with the hope of helping someone in need.
