We are sad to announce that on December 29, 2024 we had to say goodbye to John F. Tomko of Dickson City, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Tomko or send a beautiful flower arrangement to the funeral service.

In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tomko and Sophie Urbanowicz Tomko of Mary's Visitation Church; his daughter Sarah Tomko; and his brothers, Richard, Philip and Theodore "Ted" Tomko.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Kohut Tomko; and his sister Deborah Wilensky (Frank). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at 1090 Carmalt St, Dickson City, PA 18519. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Holy Ghost Cemetery.
