She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrocino Mata and Hazel Mata; and her siblings, Patricia and Raymond. She is survived by: her husband Howard; her children, Laura and Craig (Karen); and her grandchildren, Kat (Bryce), Ryan and Eric.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
