He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Ashbaugh and Ida Evelyn Ashbaugh (Bates); his wife Cassandra J. Ashbaugh (Dias); his son Thomas Ashbaugh; and his siblings, William, John "Jack", Philip Ashbaugh, Anna Mary Ashbaugh, Blanche E. Ashbaugh, Esther M. Ashbaugh and Idabelle Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Jenny Ashbaugh-Wano; his grandsons, Clint and Cole Wano; his great grandchild Arianna Betton; and his brother George R. Ashbaugh (Judy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
