He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank John Opiela and Mary Catherine Opiela; his wife Edwina "Winnie" Opiela; his siblings, Frank, John, Albert and Audrey J. Panichelle; his niece Danielle J. Pantalone; and also Nancy J. Lockman-Opiela.
He is survived by : his niece JoAnn Pantalone-Jolly; his great-niece Gabrielle Jolly; his nephew Danny Mantooth (Charlotte); his stepchildren, Bambi Lockman (Kathy Devlin), Steve Lockman (Jan) and Jacquie Kane (Michael); his grandchildren, Christopher Kane, Annie Wiggins, Everett Lockman, Robert Kane (Abigail), Raeann Fortin (Troy), Steven Kane and Madison Lockman (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Amelia Kane, Maebh Lockman and Lillie Jo Kane.
